The consultancy company Mobilee management & advies has been named the Netherlands’ leading business service provider in the 2026 MT1000 for the second consecutive year. The annual ranking was recently published by MT/Sprout and conducted by the UvA's Amsterdam Centre for Business Innovation (ACBI).

The survey-based ranking shows that specialist Dutch firms with close client relationships continue to gain ground. Mobilee, an Utrecht-based consultancy specialising in digital transformation and leadership, received high ratings from clients in sectors including government, financial services, energy, education, healthcare and telecommunications.

Research led by Amsterdam Business School

The MT1000 research was led by Professor Henk Volberda, Professor of Strategy & Innovation in the Strategy & International Business section at Amsterdam Business School and director of the Amsterdam Centre for Business Innovation. Niels van der Weerdt was the project lead.

The MT1000 is an annual peer-to-peer survey of business service providers in the Netherlands. For its 15th edition, more than 4,400 business decision-makers shared their experiences with providers they had worked with during the past 3 years.

Participants assessed organisations on their Net Promoter Score, customer focus, product leadership and quality of execution. The research evaluated 63 areas of expertise across 6 main categories, from communication consulting and cloud computing to corporate finance.

High tech and human touch

The findings show that technological capability is increasingly important, particularly as AI becomes more widely available. However, Volberda stresses that technology alone does not set organisations apart.

In a market shaped by high tech, the human touch remains essential. Organisations need transparent communication, professional expertise and credible relationships with their clients. In Volberda’s view, trust is not a soft skill. It is strategic capital.

This helps explain the continued success of smaller, specialist providers. Their expertise and proximity to clients enable them to combine digital capabilities with a personal and practical approach.

Key findings

  • Mobilee management & advies ranks first overall in the 2026 MT1000.
  • Mobilee retains the top position for the second year in a row.
  • Smaller Dutch specialist firms are increasingly prominent at the top of the ranking.
  • Large international corporations are losing ground in comparison with more client-focused providers.
  • Clients value service providers that combine technological expertise with trust, transparency and strong execution.

The MT1000 illustrates how research data and client experiences can identify broader developments in the Dutch business services sector. Through this research, the Amsterdam Centre for Business Innovation contributes knowledge on how organisations can remain competitive in a rapidly changing environment.
