UvA EB has been re-accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA), placing it among the top 2% of business schools worldwide. This recognition highlights UvA EB’s ongoing dedication to excellence in management education.

Global opportunities for students and alumni

With this re-accreditation, all current UvA EB MBA students and recent MBA alumni are invited to join AMBA’s global member community of over 60,000 students and alumni across more than 150 countries. This membership offers networking opportunities, thought leadership, career development, and various other benefits, all for free.

Exemplary standards in business education

AMBA accreditation represents the highest standard of achievement in postgraduate business education. Its rigorous assessment criteria ensure that only the highest-caliber programmes, demonstrating the best standards in teaching, curriculum, and student interaction, receive this accreditation.

During the recent accreditation process, the panel commended UvA EB for its advancements in digital technology and learning, which have enhanced the flexibility of their part-time general MBA programme. Additionally, the school's commitment to societal impact and its strategic investments in this area were noted as significant strengths. The teaching and learning facilities at the school were also seen to be excellent.

Commitment to innovation and societal impact

Andrew Main Wilson, Chief Executive of the Association of MBAs, and Business Graduates Association (BGA), said: ‘I would like to congratulate everyone at Economics & Business for their work towards this accreditation. This school is clearly investing to be one of the best schools globally – with its investments in technology, as well as its societal impact. I look forward to continuing to work closely with this school in the future.’

On the right track

Dean Roel Beetsma on the reaccreditation: ‘I am grateful to the peer review team and my own team for all the hard work and the in-depth discussions we had in relation to the reaccreditation process. I am incredibly proud of this new achievement and see it as an important confirmation that we are on the right way towards making impactful and technologically innovative contributions to business education and society more broadly. Our reaccreditation will encourage us to further step up our efforts to this end.’
