SEO Amsterdam Economics

SEO Amsterdam Economics was founded in 1949 from the Economic Faculty of the University of Amsterdam to stimulate the conduct of applied research. This makes SEO one of the oldest economic research agencies in the Netherlands. Since the 1980s SEO Amsterdam Economics has been a foundation independent of the university, although its ties to science remain close.

SEO Amsterdam Economics clients are highly diverse: we work for ministries, companies and institutions in the non-profit sphere, both nationally and internationally. SEO Amsterdam Economics is independent.

We are not tied to particular interests or parties and are therefore asked for research with an 'open question'. To guarantee the independence and scientific quality of our reports, they are as a rule in the public domain.

SEO Amsterdam Economics is a medium-sized agency without bureaucracy. The academic staff numbers approximately 65, most of whom are economists or econometricians. If the research requires it, we collaborate with researchers from other disciplines.

SEO Amsterdam Economics is led by a management team headed by the general director and deputy director. SEO is a foundation and has a Supervisory Board and Advisory Board.
