The project presented at the conference will soon be presented as a working paper. Trimborn is an expert in blockchain and FinTech, specialising in the econometric and statistical analysis of the cryptocurrency market and blockchain systems. His research focuses on blockchain transaction analysis and the development of novel metrics and methods to deepen the understanding of the blockchain ecosystem.

Currently, his work emphasises the geographic identification of cryptocurrency transactions. He has demonstrated that increased Bitcoin adoption is often linked to high inflation and international sanctions, reflecting the economic necessity for affected regions to utilize cryptocurrencies. His latest research shows that regional variations in transaction volumes can serve as predictors of market risk. Trimborn also co-organised the Hackathon during the Dutch Blockchain Week held earlier this year in May.
