Their key contribution to a lively debate on Competition Policy and the Green Deal is that collaboration amongst competitors risks reducing their CSR efforts. This runs counter to green antitrust policy proposals to relax the cartel prohibition as long as competitors promise to promote sustainability. This is the viewpoint currently advocated by legal scholars and the Dutch competition authority.
