Sabina Albrecht’s dissertation is based on three empirical studies in the realms of labour and migration economics. Her first study deals with the origin of economic inequality. The second and third contribute to our understanding of the integration of migrants (refugees) into host societies. Collectively, these studies add to the knowledge base by looking at the dimensions of social capital and attitudes in the host society.
