Towards a more robust economic policy
The recent economic developments that followed the 2007 financial crisis have resulted in a call for new modeling approaches that can better explain observed macroeconomic phenomena and that can help in designing more robust economic policies. Questions central to Joep Lustenhouwer's research are what policy measures could be successful in restoring the economy to a more healthy state and how rising European debt levels can best be managed.
