The Amsterdam School of Economics (ASE) and the student associations SEFA, VSAE and SFEER are pleased to present ASE NEXT!, an exclusive event for alumni, students and staff of Economics, Actuarial Science and Mathematical Finance, Business Economics, Econometrics and Fiscale Economie.

  • 18:00 - 19:00 Q&A  with  Mark Minkman (General Director Paradiso), Yvonne Sijm ( Director Zanders), Jan Willem Velthuijsen (Chief Economist PWC) and Amba Zeggen ( Lecturer & entrepreneur)
  • 19:00 - 21:00 Networking Drinks (during this time there will also be a De Nederlandsche Bank UvA alumni reunion)
ASE NEXT 2017 Speakers

About the Speakers

Mark Minkman graduated in 1998 from the Econometrics Programme. He is General Director of concert venue Paradiso. Before he coming to Paradiso he was  director and manager of the broadcasting organisation VARA.

Amba Zeggen obtained her degree in Actuarial Science in 2002 and her Postmaster Actuarial Science in 2005. She works as a lecturer at the UvA, owns her own consultancy company and was elected ‘Actuary of the year 2015’.

Jan Willem Velthuijsen graduated in 1982 from the Econometrics Programme and obtained his PHD in Energy Economics in 1995. Currently he works as Chief Economist at PWC and as Professor of Economics at the University of Groningen. 

Yvonne Sijm graduated in 2004 from the Econometrics Programme. She works at Zanders Treasury & Finance as director and she is an experienced consultant in financial risk management and ALM for financial institutions.

Professor Klaas Knot has been President of DNB since 1 July 2011. Before joining the Governing Board, he was Deputy Treasurer-General and Director of Financial Markets at the Dutch Ministry of Finance (2009–2011).
